- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I visited Poppa's Pizzeria on New Years eve night after celebrating the new year at the Rod and Gun in Parksville. The girlfriend and I had called for a taxi to make it home safe after some drinks. As you can imagine, no taxis were available any time soon. It was an incredibly cold night, so we went in just to warm up a bit. The owners happily accomodated us, and provided us each a water bottle while we warmed and figured out our situation to make it home. I happily bought a slice of pizza while we waited.
